my tai chi teacher about life choices

my tai chi teacher about life choices

Jan and Marie own an old farm set in a peaceful landscape with wild flowers dotted meadows.Twice a week I park my car along the narrow street in a row of other cars belonging to a bunch of people that at least have one thing in common: they all want to learn tai chi. It’s quite an experience, learning tai chi with Jan. It’s intense, demanding, meditative. Yet, there’s always room for a laugh. He has come a long way….

a journey to Bali and Lombok

a journey to Bali and Lombok

My husband being a diver, hesitatingly suggested to spend a couple of weeks in Bali.  He had heard about some nice diving spots he would like to try. Bali never had come across my thoughts as a possible holiday destination.  It seemed so far away, exotic and ‘not for us’. I let the idea linger a while and felt Bali would be an inspiring place to be.  It stands for nature and cultural heritage but also for IKAT, BATIK and…

antiques market in the Provence

antiques market in the Provence

This summer we spent our holiday in France. AGAIN!. Addicted as I am, I couldn’t do a year without enjoying the nice weather, good food and laid back atmosphere of this gorgeous country. This time we headed for the Var. A day’s drive  through France, straight to the deep south. One of the first thing I do in France is go to the local ‘tabac’, buy a  L’agenda des Brocantes, sit down, enjoy un café au lait and browse through the small…

This first week of my 1 good enough photo project I want to post 2 pictures I took this summer in France. Up till then I only had been taking pictures for my Etsy shop and for holiday memories. That day was the first time since many years I again felt the joy of taking pictures just for the fun of taking them. I love wandering around in small French villages, discovering tiny alleys and beautiful, cosy squares. Is it…

So beautiful and peaceful! woodpaths, wild flowers, tiny fairy tale valleys, … haystacks…

gloomy layer

gloomy layer

It is lovely to see the ease Provencal people decorate footpaths and doorsteps with. Pots and plants are everywhere and give the village a relaxed atmosphere. I choose this picture as 1good enough photo because I like the vertical and horizontal lines, the typical Provencal colors, the texture and messiness of the wall and doorstep. add a greyish, gloomy layer with photoshop I love experimenting with effects in photoshop. My knowledge so far is very limited. My son taught me…
